Keep your grocery list short with ingredients that can be used several ways, like ground beef! If you have ground beef, you’re going to want to make burgers. If you do, you need to make these Easy Bacon Cheese Sliders with Hot Honey, because they are extra, in the best way possible.

Extra flavor? Yes. But, thanks to our slider-making hack, they don’t take any extra time to make! Mix the ground beef with chopped cooked bacon, then press the mixture into the bottom of a baking dish. Bake it until done (instead of flipping a dozen tiny burgers, the oven does the work for you!). Layer on rolls with cheese and pickles. Brush the rolls with a mixture of melted butter, honey and seasoning and bake, then cut to separate into individual sliders. Easy- and you probably have most of the ingredients on hand!

Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef

Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef

  • 2 pounds Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef
  • 8 strips fully-cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 package (12 ounces) Hawaiian sweet rolls (12 rolls), cut lengthwise into top and bottom halves
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)
  • 12 dill pickle chips
  • 1 ½ tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon hot honey
  • ½ teaspoon everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F. While the oven is heating, line a 13x9x2-inch baking pan with aluminum foil. Mix the beef and bacon in the pan. Press the beef mixture in an even layer to cover the bottom of the pan. Season with salt and pepper.
  2. Bake for 15 minutes or until the beef is cooked through. While the beef is baking, line a baking sheet with more foil. Arrange the bottom bun halves, cut-side up on the baking sheet.
  3. Using 2 spatulas, lift the beef, in one piece, out of the baking pan onto the bottom bun halves. Top with the cheese, pickles, and top bun halves. Mix the butter, honey, and bagel seasoning in a bowl. Brush the butter mixture on the top bun halves.
  4. Bake for 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the buns are golden brown. Use foil to lift the sliders out of the pan to a cutting board. Cut to separate and serve.

If you can’t find hot honey, combine honey with a bit of your favorite hot sauce.
